The Royal Mint releases competitively priced and attractively designed gold and silver bullion bars.

The Royal Mint has expanded their gold and silver bar offerings with new Britannia gold and silver bars. These bars reprise the popular Britannia theme that is featured on the Royal Britannia Silver coins. The design of Britannia on the gold and silver bars, however, is different than the design on the Britannia coins. The Britannia gold and silver bars feature a newly designed Britannia on the front. The designs of the Britannia gold and silver bars are the same.

On the Obverse of the Britannia Gold and Silver Bars

The Goddess Britannia is featured on the front of the gold and silver Britannia bars. She is shown holding her shield and trident, symbolizing her commitment to an impassioned defense of Great Britain. On her shield reads the words “Britannia”. The background space is filled with a wave pattern that provides anti-counterfeiting security.

On the Reverse of the Britannia Gold and Silver Bars

The reverse of the Britannia gold and silver bars features the Royal Mint’s shield next to the words “The Royal Mint”. The background space is also filled with a wave pattern for anti-counterfeiting. At the bottom of the bar is a series of larger waves.
On the 1 oz. gold bar reverse it reads “1 oz” “999.9” “Fine Gold’ and a serial number “RM00000000”
On the 10 oz silver bar reserve it reads “10 oz” “999” “Fine Silver”
On the 100 oz silver bar reserve it reads “100 oz” “999” “Fine Silver”

The Britannia gold and silver bars were designed by Jody Clark, one of the Royal Mint’s engravers who designed the 2015 portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that is featured on British circulating coins and all U.K. Commonwealth bullion products. The Queen Elizabeth portrait however, does not appear on the Britannia gold and silver bullion bars.

The Britannia gold and silver bars are available now from BGASC.com usually for next business day shipping.
