New 2018 1 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang .999 Fine Brilliant Uncirculated Medallion Now Available for Immediate Shipment*

Earlier this month we made available the 2018 1 oz South Korean Silver Tiger Medal. This medal was an immediate hit and with a limited mintage we expect our inventory to be depleted soon. Coming on the heels of the issuance of the South Korean Silver Tiger Medal, we are proud to offer the 2018 1 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang .999 Fine Brilliant Uncirculated Medallion from the Korean Mint.

The Korean Mint first began producing Chiwoo Cheonwang medals in 2016 with the mintage of a silver version. The design has been enormously popular with collectors and investors the past two years and the Korean Mint has decided to mint just 45,000 one ounce Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals in 2018.

The front of the Chiwoo Cheonwang Silver Medal features an image of Guimyeonwa on a clay roof tile. Guimyeonwa is said to ward off evil spirits and is often seen on roof tiles in Korea. To the left the words “2018 FINE SILVER 999” indicate the medal’s purity. On the top of the title the words read “REPUBLIC OF KOREA”, to the left the words “1 CLAY” appear signifying a “unit of account” in tiles. At the bottom of the medallion, the mint’s security hallmark and “KOMSCO” (Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation) are displayed.
